CEO – Steve Anderson
Steve is a founder of Medair and has 33 years of aviation experience as a pilot and manager. Steve also assisted in the writing of the Air Ambulance Regulations for South Africa. With 14 years experience in the air ambulance arena, he and his staff have the knowledge and expertise to assist you in providing your clients with a timely and cost-effective solution.
Operations Director – Hadley Spencer
Hadley has a thorough grounding in air ambulance operations, first as a dispatch controller, and now as a pilot. He can fly everything from the Citation II to the DC9 and Falcon 2000EX in a variety of operational conditions. His 13 years of experience shows through in the decisions he makes, this will impact positively on your client and make your company a pleasure for your clients to deal with.
Chief Financial Officer – Lauretta Taylor
Lauretta is the financial backbone of both Medair and Elite Jet, and is a founder of Medair. She ensures that our bills get paid on time and that our clients receive their invoices in good order and correctly – we really cannot do without her!
General Manager – Bruce Johnstone
Being and ex-airforce fighter pilot and having many years experience in the aviation industry as a pilot and business owner, Bruce brings a solid aviation foundation to his position of controlling the Flight Operations Department and flight crew. Flying both medevac, DC9 and Gulfstream aircraft, he is in a position to take a bird’s eye view of the entire company. His experience as an airforce-trained accident investigator brings caution to his alternate position as company Safety Officer.
Flight Operations Dispatch Manager – Steve Wright
Steve has been with the company since leaving school. He passed all of his commercial pilot’s license exams first-time, but then decided that the business side of aviation was more appealing. After 11 years with the company, he has been appointed as the Managing Director of International Flight Clearances, our aircraft handling division, as well as our Flight Operations Dispatch Manager. With an intimate knowledge of aircraft operating conditions around Africa, he is perfectly placed to pass his up-to-the-minute knowledge of African conditions on to the dispatch department and flight crews. Steve personally ensures that your aircraft is not delayed by non-availability of fuel or overflight and landing clearances.
Medical Crew
With Netcare 911 supplying our medical crew as a doctor-based service, albeit in an unbranded manner, we are assured of supplying you and your client the very best of South Africa’s medical talent in the aircraft and on a bed-to-bed basis.
Also, in partnership with Axihealth’s doctor -based medical expertise, we can supply the very best of South Africa’s medical talent to care for your client. All our flight doctors are ATLS, ACLS and APLS trained as the case may require. Flying with the latest in ALS equipment, from ventilators to Zoll multi monitors ensuring that everything your client needs will be provided on the aircraft.
